By placing an order with Rent A Box Express, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following Rental Agreement and Terms and Conditions.
1. Rental Period
All rentals are subject to a minimum rental period of seven (7) days.
The rental period begins on the scheduled delivery date and ends on the scheduled pickup date selected during booking.
If the customer finishes using the rental equipment before the scheduled pickup date and the equipment is picked up early, the original rental charge will remain unchanged. Unused rental days are non-refundable and will not be prorated.
2. Rental Pricing
Moving boxes are currently rented at $0.50 per box per day, subject to the seven-day minimum rental period.
The final rental price is based on the quantity of boxes selected and the rental duration chosen at the time of booking.
Applicable GST, PST, delivery or pickup charges, optional equipment charges, and other authorized fees may be added where applicable.
The price displayed and confirmed at checkout applies to that booking.
3. Delivery and Pickup
The customer is responsible for providing accurate:
- Billing information
- Delivery address
- Pickup address
- Contact information
- Delivery and pickup dates
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the delivery and pickup locations.
If Rent A Box Express cannot complete a scheduled delivery or pickup because of an incorrect address, inaccessible premises, the absence of the customer or an authorized representative, or another circumstance outside the reasonable control of Rent A Box Express, additional rental, delivery, pickup, or recovery charges may apply.
4. Ownership and Customer Responsibility
All moving boxes, dollies, and other rental equipment remain the property of Rent A Box Express at all times.
The customer is responsible for the rental equipment from the time it is delivered and accepted until it is returned to and accepted by Rent A Box Express.
Rental equipment must be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was delivered, excluding reasonable wear from normal use.
The customer must not sell, dispose of, abandon, permanently alter, or transfer possession of Rent A Box Express rental equipment without authorization.
5. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Equipment
The customer is responsible for rental equipment that is lost, stolen, destroyed, or damaged beyond normal wear while in the customer’s pThe customer is responsible for all rental equipment from the time of delivery until it is returned to Rent A Box Express.
If any rental equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, the customer will be responsible for the applicable replacement cost:
- Moving Box: $65.00 each
- Dolly: $175.00 each
- Hand Truck: $250.00 each
Rent A Box Express reserves the right to charge the customer for these replacement costs in accordance with the payment authorization and Rental Agreement.
6. Rental Extensions and Late Returns
Customers requiring additional rental time must contact Rent A Box Express before the scheduled pickup whenever possible.
Extensions are subject to availability and additional rental charges.
If rental equipment is not ready or available for pickup on the agreed pickup date, rental charges may continue until the equipment is successfully returned.
Additional pickup or recovery charges may apply if repeated pickup attempts are required because the equipment was not ready or accessible at the scheduled pickup time.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Orders cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery time are eligible for a refund, less a 5% administrative fee.
Orders cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery time are non-refundable.
Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method.
Rent A Box Express may make exceptions at its discretion where circumstances reasonably justify doing so.
8. Payments and Outstanding Charges
The customer agrees to pay all amounts associated with the rental, including applicable:
- Rental fees
- Rental extensions
- Delivery or pickup charges
- Lost, stolen, or damaged equipment charges
- Applicable taxes
- Other amounts authorized under this Agreement
Where permitted by the customer’s payment authorization, Rent A Box Express may charge outstanding amounts related to the rental to the payment method provided by the customer.
9. Use of Rental Equipment
The customer is responsible for using all rental boxes, dollies, and other equipment safely and appropriately.
Rental boxes must not be overloaded beyond reasonable moving use or used to transport hazardous, illegal, corrosive, flammable, or otherwise inappropriate materials.
Dollies and other rental equipment must be used only for their intended purpose.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that anyone using the rental equipment does so safely.
10. Limitation of Liability
Once the rental equipment has been delivered and accepted by the customer, Rent A Box Express is not responsible for any injury, accident, property damage, loss, or other damage arising from the customer’s possession, handling, loading, transportation, storage, or use of the boxes, dollies, or other rental equipment, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Rent A Box Express is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings placed inside, on, or around the rental equipment.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that rental equipment is used safely and appropriately.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Saskatchewan or Canadian law.
11. Changes to Delivery or Pickup
Customers must notify Rent A Box Express as soon as possible of any changes to:
- Delivery address
- Pickup address
- Delivery date
- Pickup date
- Contact information
- Other important booking details
Requested changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any dispute arising from this Agreement will be subject to the courts having jurisdiction in Saskatchewan, except where otherwise required by law.
13. Acceptance of Agreement
By completing an order and checking the agreement checkbox at checkout, the customer confirms that they:
- Have read this Rental Agreement and Terms and Conditions
- Understand and accept these terms
- Agree to be bound by this Agreement
- Accept responsibility for the rental equipment while it is in their possession
- Agree to pay applicable rental, extension, loss, theft, damage, tax, and other authorized charges
